Job Description

Project Director

London | Workplace & Commercial (Interiors)

Up to £100,000 base + c.£40,000/£50,000 commission (six-figure potential)

Some Project Director roles are about profile… this one is about substance!

A well-established London workplace design + delivery studio is looking for a commercially astute Project Director to join a pragmatic, high-performing team working with major institutional landlords and corporate occupiers.

Projects typically range from £1m to £7m, with the occasional £12m+ scheme.

These are serious clients.

Serious budgets.

Serious expectations.

The Reality of the Role…

This is not a design-ego position.

It’s about:

  • Listening properly to the client brief
  • Translating that brief into a clear delivery strategy
  • Running programme, budget and risk with confidence
  • Leading internal teams without noise

The team you will join is delivery-focused and commercially grounded.

They value people who:

  • Get things done
  • Make decisions
  • Hold accountability
  • Prioritise outcomes over theatre

If your leadership style is built on airtime and big presentations, this probably won’t be the right fit.

If it’s built on clarity, structure and trust… it could be ideal.

What They’re Looking For…

A commercially credible Project Director, or a high-performing Associate Director already operating at that level, with:

  • Proven workplace project experience
  • Confidence leading £3m to £10m schemes end-to-end
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial fluency
  • The ability to build strong client relationships while guiding and supporting internal teams
  • Emotional intelligence and genuine listening skills

This is about capability, not years served.

You may come from architecture, design + build, workplace consultancy or a commercial interiors background… but you must be grounded in delivery and comfortable taking ownership.

The right person will know how to:

  • Balance design ambition with commercial reality
  • Navigate corporate stakeholders with confidence
  • Translate a client brief into clear direction
  • Drive projects and people forward without unnecessary noise

The Opportunity

  • £82,500 - £100,000 base salary
  • c.£40,000 - £50,000 commission structure
  • Serious Six-figure earning potential
  • Immediate requirement
  • Clear platform to stabilise and lead a key team

The right person won’t just run projects… they will anchor the team.

This is an opportunity to step into a senior position with real financial upside and long-term influence within a respected workplace business.
