Our client is a well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business delivering complex, high-value industrial projects across the world. With continued investment in advanced manufacturing capability and a strong pipeline of capital engineering programmes, the organisation is expanding its leadership team to support project delivery.
This growth has created an opportunity for an experienced Project Director to lead major engineering and manufacturing projects from concept through to delivery. The Project Director will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and operational standards, while supporting the continued expansion of engineering capability within the region.
The Role
* The Project Director will lead complex engineering and manufacturing projects from initiation through execution and final delivery, ensuring projects meet programme, budget, quality, and safety objectives.
* They will oversee multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial functions, ensuring strong alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* As Project Director, they will manage relationships with key stakeholders including senior leadership, customers, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring transparency, risk management, and successful project outcomes.
* They will establish robust project governance, programme controls, and reporting frameworks to support the successful delivery of large-scale engineering and manufacturing programmes.
The Profile
The successful Project Director will bring significant experience delivering large engineering or manufacturing projects, ideally within capital equipment, industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, or complex engineering environments.
* As Project Director, you will demonstrate strong leadership capability, with experience managing cross-functional project teams and driving delivery across engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders.
* You will possess strong programme management expertise, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract oversight across large-scale projects.
* You will combine strategic oversight with hands-on project leadership, ensuring engineering and manufacturing programmes are delivered efficiently while supporting organisational growth.
