The Role

As Project Director, you will take full operational and commercial responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale projects from pre-construction through to handover. You will provide strategic leadership to site-based teams, ensuring programme certainty, commercial performance, safety excellence, and client satisfaction.

Projects are typically complex, multi-disciplinary builds across sectors including:

• Commercial
• Residential
• Healthcare
• Education
• Industrial & mixed-use developments

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and direct project teams on schemes up to £80m in value
• Oversee full project lifecycle including pre-construction input and procurement strategy
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Drive commercial performance and manage risk effectively
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business
• Provide strategic reporting to senior leadership
• Champion health & safety and operational best practice across all phases

What We’re Looking For

• Proven track record delivering main contractor projects valued £40m–£70m+
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and align multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent commercial acumen and risk management capability
• Experience working with both public and private sector clients
• Stable career history within reputable main contractors
• Relevant construction qualifications (degree-qualified preferred)
