Job Description
Project Engineer (12-Month FTC)
Location: Sizewell B
Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (with strong potential for extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Sizewell B on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in the coordination and execution of a variety of technical projects—ranging across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
You’ll be at the heart of ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality project delivery by working closely with both subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and deliver multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion.
Coordinate works across site, ensuring schedules and standards are met.
Validate subcontractor documentation prior to granting site access.
Supervise daily site activities, promoting a safety-first culture.
Conduct pre-job briefs and lead setting-to-work processes.
Review and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) before work begins.
Carry out regular spot checks and audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
Liaise with operations managers and supervisors to support efficient delivery.
Monitor subcontractor performance, escalating any Health & Safety concerns promptly.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering diverse projects.
Strong track record of managing subcontractors and enforcing H&S standards.
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety compliance and management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective problem-solving and organisational abilities.
Background in technical or facilities management disciplines.
