The Opportunity

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) to join the estate and capital projects team of a world-renowned cultural and events venue in Central London.

This role sits within a specialist team responsible for delivering building and infrastructure projects across a historic and operational estate, supporting the long-term development and modernisation of a globally recognised landmark.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering building services projects across a complex heritage environment, helping to maintain and enhance the venue’s facilities while ensuring the highest standards of engineering and conservation are maintained.


The Role

Working closely with internal stakeholders and specialist consultants, the Project Engineer will oversee the delivery of mechanical and electrical projects across the estate.

Projects will range from building services upgrades and infrastructure improvements through to technical input on wider capital works.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing mechanical and electrical projects from concept through to completion
  • Supporting wider building and estate projects with specialist M&E expertise
  • Coordinating contractors, consultants and technical specialists
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Providing technical advice across building services and infrastructure works
  • Supporting the delivery of capital projects across a complex operational environment
  • Ensuring engineering solutions align with both operational and heritage considerations

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • HNC / HND or degree level education
  • Experience delivering M&E or building services projects
  • Strong contractor and consultant management skills
  • Experience working within complex or operational environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • An interest in working on projects within heritage or architecturally significant buildings
