Project Engineer Location: Beccles, Suffolk Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40 hrs/week) Salary: Competitive, DOE Contract: Permanent
Reporting to the Project & Site Services Manager, you’ll manage projects from machinery installation and decommissioning to continuous improvement initiatives - ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver projects and improvement programs within agreed budgets/timelines Install, maintain, and decommission production machinery Collaborate with suppliers and contractors Ensure compliance with safety standards and complete risk assessments Drive efficiency and performance improvements Maintain accurate documentation Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards Comply with company EHS policies and statutory provisions Take responsibility and maintain high standards of work Occasional travel to other sites Qualifications & Experience NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Knowledge of a second discipline Experience with manufacturing/production equipment PUWER and machinery safety knowledge (desirable) Full UK driving licence; forklift licence (desirable) Why Work Through Hales Group?
