Project Management Director – Central Government

OverviewShape the future of our Central Government Project Management offer in London with AECOM. We’re looking for an experienced Project Management Director to oversee delivery, drive growth, build partnerships and deliver excellence across our portfolio of Central Government clients within our London region. This is a leadership role, representing one of our most significant sectors. This position will focus on the Project Management service in the London region but will also drive collaboration across UK&I region and across all Programme, Project & Cost Management disciplines to maximise growth in the market and ensure we continue to advance as the partner of choice for our central government clients. This role includes attendance at client and supplier forums, performance reviews and strategic meetings, driving our client delivery and relationships to ensure we are trusted advisors to them.Here’s what you’ll do:Direct, develop and grow our Central Government Project Management offer across our London region - specific responsibilities include:Manage and build the team reflective of the long-term growth and service proposition strategy.Provide our clients with Senior Director-level oversight, strategic guidance, and executive governance across their projects. Offer structured challenge, advisory insight and best practice to ensure our clients value and trust our advice. The role is split evenly between a strategic role engaging clients within and outside of project meetings and a delivery role across our largest appointments, overseeing project delivery and ensuring our clients receive excellence in our service.Grow our brand and revenue within the London Central Government sector with existing and new clients.Identify key clients and strategic pursuits. Prepare key client account management plans and opportunity capture plans, maintaining a strong and achievable pipeline of opportunities.Collaborate with our Central Government sector across the UK&I to develop and maintain existing client relationships, looking to build trusted advisor status across key clients.Help to grow the team including leading recruitment for the team as well as coaching and developing the existing teams’ skills.Lead pursuit proposals, including capture, answer planning and proposal processes for public procurement.Leverage the wider AECOM network and other business lines to enhance capability and work winning strategies.Implement and maintain AECOM international standards of project delivery, quality, program and budget.Oversee the delivery of large complex and multidisciplinary projects for our key clients in the sector.We welcome you to join our team where we don’t just construct infrastructure but also uplift communities and enhance lives.
