Location: Manchester, NH
Manchester’s historic mill yard, our 30,000 square foot office space sits perched on the 5th floor of the original Amory Mill and is the home of our company’s headquarters. Remnants of the historic charm remain in various locations throughout the mill, while our space has been redesigned with modern lines and architectural accents.
Job Responsibilities:
Work directly with Airport Managers and Directors and their staff on airport improvement projects all over the East Coast
These projects will range from aviation transportation improvements on and off airports, to airspace modeling, to effecting positive changes in our environment and in our communities
You will work with a highly experienced team of airport planners, environmental scientists, and construction experts providing you support and innovative problem solving
You will travel to airports to collaborate on exciting projects, and you will be able to perform your design and management tasks from any of our six offices, or remotely from your home

On projects you will manage resources to complete projects in accordance with the contract, scope of services, budget, and schedule
Train and mentor project engineers and junior staff supporting you
You will work within an established quality control program and have access to our project manager manual and recurring project management training
In this role you will also be expected to:
Achieve excellent financial performance for Hoyle Tanner
Provide superior client service by responding to needs and understanding concerns
Lead and assemble a qualified project team to successfully complete a project or client deliverables on time and within budget
Maintain and foster team satisfaction in completing project tasks and collaborating with subconsultants and other disciplines
Resolve team personnel conflicts in conjunction with supervisors
Lead efforts in pursuit of potential projects and the development of technical and price proposals
Monitor and manage resources to complete projects in accordance with the contract, scope of services, budget, and schedule. Efficiently use Deltek and other management tools.
Promptly invoice for services rendered and advocate for outstanding accounts receivable
Monitor product quality and ensure a quality management plan is developed with roles defined accordingly
Keep Principal-in-charge informed of potential claims or contract risks as they arise and collaborate on resolution strategies as needed
May be a group manager responsible for supervising a small number of staff and assisting in career development, training, and managing work assignments to maintain effective billability of group
The successful candidate will have experience with plan production, specification writing, engineering analysis, client collaboration, highly successful project financial tracking, task management in a project manager roll or management in a project engineer role that has recently progressed to project management. Possessing strong oral and written communication skills is a key to success and a necessary qualification for this position.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
BSCE
PE in MA, NH, ME, FL, RI, or CT, or the ability to obtain reciprocity
10+ years of increasing technical or planning and leadership experience to include 4-6 years’ experience in other Civil Engineering Discipline plus 4-6 years airport design experience
Demonstrate strong communication skills, an acute understanding of project finances, scheduling, and client management skills
PM Training
Qualifications:
MS in Civil Engineering, Management or Equivalent
Additional PE License(s) or NCEES record
Provide a list of Professional Aviation Industry Presentations, or contributions to Periodicals, Construction Management or Project Management Professional Certifications
