Project Manager - Contract Opportunity - Markets Risk / Controls Specialist (FX Focus)

We're hiring an experienced Markets Risk / Controls professional to join a high-impact trading controls programme within a leading global financial institution. This role sits within a First Line of Defense team focused on trade capture risk across Markets businesses. Location: Belfast (3 days per week in office) Rate: Up to £600 per day (Inside IR35) Important: Only candidates willing to relocate to Belfast will be considered. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) . The Role You'll partner closely with front office, risk, and control stakeholders to identify gaps, enhance controls, and support regulatory commitments across trade capture processes. This is a highly visible role with regular interaction at senior levels. Key Responsibilities Partner with product and business stakeholders to remediate control gaps Define and implement robust control frameworks aligned to regulatory expectations Collaborate with Second Line of Defense for oversight and governance Lead stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops, and communications Investigate control failures alongside Audit and drive improvements Support project governance, reporting progress to senior management Key Requirements Strong experience in Markets (Business Management, FO Controls, BA, or Change) Proven track record delivering control remediation across complex environments Solid understanding of traded products, with a strong preference for FX Experience working across front-to-back trade lifecycle xehkeey / booking flows Strong stakeholder management and communication skills (up to senior level) Project management experience within regulatory or control environments Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis skills Desirable Experience across Markets products (FX, Equities, etc.) Ability to analyse large datasets and present insights to leadership If you're a strong Markets controls professional with FX knowledge , and open to relocating to Belfast for a high-impact contract, this is a standout opportunity.
