Project Manager (Civil Infrastructure) | Belfast Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading civil engineering consultancy to recruit a Project Manager to join their infrastructure team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a civil engineering background to take ownership of infrastructure and civil engineering projects from inception through to completion. The role would suit someone with 3 years' project management experience who is looking to further develop their career within a supportive, technically strong consultancy environment. Your new role as Project Manager Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key responsibilities will include: Leading and managing civil and infrastructure projects through all stages of the project lifecycle. Developing project scopes, programmes, and budgets, ensuring effective planning and resource allocation. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships. Supporting tender-stage activities, including tender reviews and procurement planning. Coordinating internal design teams and external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies. Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation measures. Ensuring compliance with relevant UK regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements, including CDM. Managing project finances, including cost control, forecasting, and invoicing. Preparing and presenting progress reports to clients and senior management. Supporting business development activity and mentoring junior team members where appropriate. Ensuring quality assurance procedures are followed throughout project delivery. What you'll need to succeed as Project Manager To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate: A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years' experience managing civil or infrastructure construction projects. Experience working with NEC and Public Works contracts (experience with other contract forms is beneficial). A good understanding of CDM Regulations and quality management systems. A project management qualification (e.g. APM PMQ/PPQ or NEC accreditation), or progression toward one, would be advantageous.
