Job Description

We are working with a well-established family-owned UK contractor delivering new build and refurbishment projects across commercial, educational, industrial, leisure, health, and social housing sectors. Project values typically range from £0.5m to £15m. Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a Project Manager to lead projects in Northeast Cambridge and West Norfolk.\nThis role is ideal for a hands-on, highly motivated manager with experience in project management, capable of taking ownership of project delivery, managing teams, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and the supply chain.\nKey Responsibilities:\n * \n Lead the day-to-day running and organisation of projects across office and site\n * \n Act as the key customer interface, maintaining strong client relationships\n * \n Assist the Contracts Manager and support junior managers\n * \n Organise trades and sub-contractors to achieve programme milestones\n * \n Develop short-term programmes, managing risk and resources efficiently\n * \n Control site costs and review supply-chain variations\n * \n Maintain high-quality standards in line with drawings, specifications, and company policies\n * \n Ensure compliance with Health & Safety law and site plans\n * \n Prepare and maintain accurate project records and documentation\n * \n Travel within the operating area and lodge away from home when required\nExperience & Requirements:\n * \n Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction\n * \n Strong knowledge of new build and refurbishment projects\n * \n Ability to manage programmes, budgets, and on-site teams effectively\n * \n Understanding of cost control and variation management\n * \n Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site procedures\n * \n Relevant training and qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Temporary Works Coordinator, asbestos awareness) desirable\n * \n Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills\nWhat’s on Offer:\n * \n Competitive salary of £70,000 – £80,000 plus package\n * \n Contributory pension, profit-based discretionary bonus, life assurance, and private healthcare\n * \n Car allowance and annual leave entitlement\n * \n Continued professional development and long-term career progression opportunities\n * \n Supportive, team-oriented culture within a respected family-owned contractor\nWe are keen to speak with Project Managers looking to take ownership of residential and commercial new build and refurbishment projects in Northeast Cambridge and West Norfolk
