Project Manager – Residential Project (Battersea)

Location: Battersea

Role Overview

Lead the delivery of a residential construction project in Battersea from start through completion. Act as the primary driver of programme, quality, safety, and subcontractor performance. Interface directly with the client (including council representatives) and internal/external stakeholders. Ensure the project remains on programme, on budget, and compliant with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day site operations and drive progress to hit key milestones. Direct and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and consultants. Chair progress meetings, design meetings, and client updates. Maintain and track programme, risk register, and site KPIs. Ensure strict adherence to H&S regulations and quality standards. Resolve on‑site issues promptly and proactively. Oversee procurement schedules, materials management, and sequencing. Manage variations, valuations, and support commercial teams. Produce and maintain all project documentation, reporting, and handover records. Build strong working relationships with council clients, design teams, and local stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Project Manager with a Main Contractor. Strong track record delivering residential projects (new build or refurbishment). Highly hands‑on, proactive, and confident managing fast‑paced site environments. Experience working on local authority / council–client projects is a nice to have Strong understanding of H&S, UK Building Regs, and QA processes. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to drive programme and performance across all site teams. SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), First Aid ().
