Job Description

An established and reputable groundworks and civil engineering contractor is seeking an Project Manager with commercial groundworks experience to support a major project in the East Midlands.\n\nThe successful candidate will have a strong civil engineering background and proven experience managing foundation, drainage, and external works on medium to large-scale projects in a fast paced environment.\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\n· Manage groundworks operations including foundations, drainage, and external works\n\n· Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers\n\n· Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and programmes\n\n· Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental, and quality standards\n\n· Monitor progress, manage budgets, and produce site reports\n\n· Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams\n\n· Support setting out and QA processes\n\n· Reporting to Contract Manager\n\n· Assist with the producing and updating of programmes with planning team\n\n· Ensure project is delivered on time, to budget, and with quality assured\n\n· Effective cost control and elimination of waste leading to project profitability\n\nExperience:\n\n· Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (ideally not essential)\n\n· Minimum 5 years\' experience in groundworks project management\n\n· Strong technical knowledge of civil works and site engineering\n\n· Familiarity with robotic total stations and GPS machine control\n\n· CSCS (Black or White card), SMSTS, and First Aid\n\n· Proficiency in Microsoft Project and site reporting tools\n\nPlease contact John Ashcroft on (phone number removed) for more information (all discussions are confidential)\n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
