Job Description
Project Manager (Mechanical Bias) – Water Industry\nLocation: Reading & surrounding areas\nSalary: Up to £70,000 + Car/Allowance + 25 Days Holiday\n42 hours per week | Full-time, Permanent\n\nJ3A Recruitment are working with a rapidly growing MEICA engineering organisation that has secured a strong pipeline of work across Thames Water sites.\n\nThey’re now looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager with a mechanical background to help drive ongoing projects forward in the Reading and South East area.\n\nWhat you'll be doing as Project Manager:\n\n * \n\n Managing multiple water-related projects at any one time (values ranging from £5k–£300k)\n\n * \n\n Overseeing works across clean and dirty water sites, including pumping stations and general mechanical installations and refurbishments\n\n * \n\n Taking ownership of quotations, fabrication drawings, RAMS, and project delivery\n\n * \n\n Carrying out site surveys, liaising with clients, and leading project teams to successful completion\n\nThe suitable Project Manager will bring;\n\n * \n\n HNC / HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in the water industry – ideally with Thames Water\n\n * \n\n Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of mechanical systems and fabrication processes\n\n * \n\n Capable of writing method statements and risk assessments\n\n * \n\n Electrical knowledge is beneficial, but not essential\n\n * \n\n SMSTS isn't essential but highly beneficial\n\nThis organisation values long-term growth and will support you with training and additional qualifications if needed.
