We are looking to recruit a Project Manager for a contract in Wakeifled, this vacancy is being recuited on a temporary contract for at least 6 months. The successful candidate must have previous experience in a similar environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The organisation will offer a range of Project Management services to clients.
The services will range to suit whatever the client needs. Examples of the services are shown below but are not necessarily exhaustive:
• Manage and supervise daily construction site activities
• Lead, coordinate, and monitor onsite staff, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, site rules, and company policies
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality and safety standards
• Monitor project schedules and ensure work is completed on time
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and deliveries to the site
• Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications with the team
• Identify and resolve onsite issues, delays, or conflicts
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Support inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and plans
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Work Environment
• Construction sites with varying weather conditions
• Fast-paced, hands-on role requiring regular site presence
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• Driving License
• SMSTS certification
• First aid qualifications
• DBS Checked
Additional Notes
• Solar PV installation experience ideal
• Experience of large-scale engineering projects is preferable
• Knowledge and experience of logistics and warehouse automation systems and projects is ideal
• Management of contractors preferable
• Comfortable with software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
