As a Project Manager for a major rail systems delivery programme, you will be responsible for ensuring successful contract delivery within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. This includes overseeing the completion of procurement, preparing for contract award, and managing works across key project phases. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure project at a pivotal stage, introducing innovative technology to the UK rail network.
As a Project Manager, you will need to have/be:
Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop, plan, and integrate projects to optimise costs and benefits. Effective problem-solving capabilities, managing multiple workstreams while balancing stakeholder, time, cost, and quality demands. Sound decision-making, including gathering, synthesising, and applying information with logical judgement. Ability to provide clear direction by analysing data, defining strategies, and documenting rationale. Skilled in influencing and negotiating with both internal teams and external supply chain partners. Solid understanding of project management principles, aligned to APM Project Manager level.
