Title: Workday Project Manager

Location: London

Contract: 12 month Outside IR35 Market Rate


What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead post-go-live ERP system optimisation and enhancement initiatives. This role will focus on maximising the value of a recently implemented ERP platform through continuous improvement, user adoption strategies, and strategic system enhancements, while also managing future project phases.

The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business operations and technology, ensuring the ERP investment delivers measurable business outcomes.


System Optimisation & Enhancements

  • Lead post-implementation optimisation initiatives to improve system performance, user experience, and process efficiency
  • Identify and prioritise enhancement opportunities based on business needs and ROI
  • Coordinate with technical teams on system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
  • Manage rollout of new modules, features, and integrations
  • Track governance decisions, project plans, and outcomes


Stakeholder Management & User Adoption

  • Partner with business leaders and end-users to identify pain points and improvement opportunities
  • Establish continuous feedback loops for user requirements and system performance
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities, and project updates


Business Process Improvement

  • Lead process standardisation across business units
  • Collaborate with process owners to implement best practices and remove inefficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements


Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage relationships with ERP vendors, system integrators, and third-party partners
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver project objectives
  • Oversee budgets, contract negotiations, and ongoing system support
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs


What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of project management experience with enterprise systems
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience delivering Workday Finance projects
  • Proven experience in post-implementation support and system optimisation
  • Strong understanding of ERP architecture, modules, and integrations
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of data migration, system integration, and reporting/BI concepts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong business acumen across finance, operations, and related functions
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks and best practices
