Experience required…

Essential:

• Experience working with a Highways Environment
• Oversight and management of multiple projects supporting delivery officers
• Managing resources ensuring timely delivery of projects
• Setting goals, tasks and timelines, ensuring that project delivery is to schedule
• Monitoring tracking and reporting of Planned Value and Earned Value performance metrics across projects
• Identifying opportunities for improvement
• Identification of risks and contingency plans
• Preparing project reports
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
• Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements including CDM

Technical Requirements/Competencies

• In-depth knowledge project management methods and principles
• Good leadership and organisational skills
• In-depth understanding of performance evaluation principles
• Proficiency in various project management software, including MS Office, MS Project
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Attention to detail and time management skills

Desirable:

• Experience managing teams and resources through each stage of highways project delivery.
• Ability to lead schemes for Local Authorities, from Outline and Full Business Case stage to delivery and handover.
