Experience required…
Essential:
- Experience working with a Highways Environment
- Oversight and management of multiple projects supporting delivery officers
- Managing resources ensuring timely delivery of projects
- Setting goals, tasks and timelines, ensuring that project delivery is to schedule
- Monitoring tracking and reporting of Planned Value and Earned Value performance metrics across projects
- Identifying opportunities for improvement
- Identification of risks and contingency plans
- Preparing project reports
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
- Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety requirements including CDM
Technical Requirements/Competencies
- In-depth knowledge project management methods and principles
- Good leadership and organisational skills
- In-depth understanding of performance evaluation principles
- Proficiency in various project management software, including MS Office, MS Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and time management skills
Desirable:
- Experience managing teams and resources through each stage of highways project delivery.
- Ability to lead schemes for Local Authorities, from Outline and Full Business Case stage to delivery and handover.
