Data Project Manager (Contract)

Belfast (3 days on site 2 from home)

£558 Umbrella/ per day

12 month contract


The Role:


We’re recruiting for a Data Project Manager to join a global Data & Regulatory Operations function for a leading investment bank in Belfast.

You’ll play a key role in delivering a major enterprise reference data initiative, supporting governance and reporting across various teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact data transformation and regulatory change programmes, with exposure to AI-driven initiatives and Target Operating Model design.


What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Drive project governance, tracking, and reporting across a key data programme
  • Manage RAID logs, dependencies, and project plans
  • Produce high-quality governance decks and stakeholder reports
  • Coordinate across Operations, Technology, and senior stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (minutes, action logs, plans)
  • Support steering committees and working groups
  • Assist with timelines, resource planning, and budget tracking
  • Contribute to broader data and regulatory change initiatives


✅ What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager within financial services
  • Strong background in project governance, reporting, and risk/issue management
  • Experience working on data-related programmes (ideally reference data)
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders across business and technology
  • Excellent documentation skills (minutes, decks, reporting)
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
