Project Planner - Civil Engineering


Working for a Tier 1 contractor, being developed and trained into a 10 year, Power and Energy framework worth over £1bn in value.


Location: Glasgow (Hybrid 2/3 days from home, 2/3 days from the office)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 basic + Package


The Opportunity

The Resolute Group has partnered with a leading Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor to support a long-term, secured framework with Scottish Power Energy Networks. We are seeking a Project Planner to join their Scottish Division, managing various Energy schemes including Sub-stations, Over Head line or underground Power cabling.


The Role

Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be the P6 Planning expert, managing the programme from start to finish, including making any alterations or variations. You will integrate design, procurement, and construction into robust programmes while managing outages and live-environment constraints.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Programme Management: Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules.
  • Coordination: Manage third-party constraints, interface risks, and critical path impacts.
  • Reporting: Produce progress reports, earned value data, and performance metrics for commercial and client teams.
  • Collaboration: Lead stakeholder programme reviews and work closely with multi-disciplinary delivery teams.


What You’ll Need:

  • Sector Experience: Background in Energy, Power, Utilities, or major Infrastructure (Rail, Water, Highways etc.).
  • Software: Proven expertise in Primavera P6.
  • Education: HNC/HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline (preferred).
