Project Quantity Surveyor\n\nBank, City of London\nExcellent Salary + Package\nTier 2 Main Contractor | Cut & Carve Refurbishment | Hospitality\nPermanent PositionI am currently working in partnership with a well-established Tier 2 Main Contractor who specialise in delivering complex cut & carve refurbishment projects across London within the commercial office, student accommodation, hospitality, leisure, and healthcare sectors.\n\nDue to the award of a high-profile scheme, they are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for a technically challenging hospitality refurbishment project near Bank, City of London.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor known for delivering complex structural refurbishments in constrained Central London environments.\n\nThe Project\n\nThe project involves the cut & carve refurbishment and conversion of an existing building into a high-quality hospitality venue. Works include structural alterations, façade retention elements, significant MEP coordination, and high-specification internal fit out.\n\nThe scheme requires careful commercial management due to structural complexities, change control, and stakeholder coordination within a busy City location.\n\nThe Role\n\nReporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take full day-to-day commercial responsibility for the project from procurement through to final account.\n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\nManaging the commercial lifecycle of the project\nProcurement and negotiation of subcontract packages\nPreparing and managing cost reports and forecasts\nManaging interim valuations and client applications\nAdministering variations and change control procedures\nSubcontractor commercial management, including payments and final accounts\nIdentifying and mitigating commercial risks\nWorking closely with the Project Manager and site team to ensure financial and operational performance\nMaintaining strong relationships with clients and consultantsYou will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered within budget and achieves targeted margins.\n\nRequirements\n\n4-8 years' experience working with a main contractor\nProven experience operating at Project Quantity Surveyor level\nStrong experience delivering refurbishment, cut & carve, or structural alteration projects\nHospitality, commercial, or similar sector experience \nStrong knowledge of JCT contracts\nDegree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent\nExcellent commercial acumen and communication skills\nExperience working on projects within Central London desirableWhy Apply?\n\nOpportunity to commercially lead a high-profile hospitality scheme in the City of London\nJoin a technically strong and growing Tier 2 contractor\nExposure to complex structural refurbishment works\nStrong pipeline of secured London projects\nCompetitive salary and attractive packageThis role would suit an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor seeking to work on technically challenging refurbishment schemes within a respected and ambitious London contractor.\n\nFor a confidential discussion, please get in touch
