Project Quantity Surveyor | London & Kent (Permanent or Freelance)

Join a progressive main contractor known for delivering complex, high-spec refurbishments and structural redevelopments across London.

This is a hands-on commercial role where you’ll take ownership of live projects and work closely with delivery teams on technically demanding schemes — from heavy cut & carve to façade retention and high-end office fit outs.

You’ll be part of a tight-knit, design-focused contractor with a strong technical reputation and direct leadership from experienced commercial professionals.

The Role

Take full commercial responsibility for live refurbishment and structural projects (£8m–£30m value)
• Manage procurement, subcontractor accounts, and valuations from pre-construction through to final account
• Lead cost reporting, forecasting, and CVRs with oversight from the Commercial Manager
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Site Team to ensure delivery aligns with budgets and programmes
• Contribute to tendering and pre-con responsibilities as the business grows
What they’re looking for

Established Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor (not a recent graduate)
Experience with Tier 2 or Tier 3 main contractors
Proven track record on complex refurbishments and structural works
Examples are: Cut & carve and structural extensions, Residential or hotel fit outs, Façade retention
Commercially astute, proactive, and confident managing your own projects
Someone from a large Tier 1 background won’t suit — this role needs adaptability and ownership
