Core Objectives

Carry out skilled DIY & general maintenance work involved in all aspects of onsite building maintenance, both internal and external.

The role includes general building DIY and maintenance including basic carpentry, plumbing, replacement of tiling, flooring, and painting and decorating, skimming and basic electric competence.

This will also include regular checks and assessments of both private and public areas, liaising with Line Manager and other team members, performing jobs as and when they are required.

Main Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities

Installation inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building fixtures and fittings.

General plumbing including washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, unblocking drains, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipework (copper or PVC),

General carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, easing, and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware.
