This position requires an individual with a broad and varied background across property, architecture and construction, capable of working across multiple aspects of the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play an active role in both the strategic oversight and practical delivery of projects, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants and contractors.

The role is London based, with the expectation that the successful candidate will travel to Wiltshire approximately twice per week to oversee projects and liaise with on-site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Take ownership of property projects from concept through to completion, including design development, planning, procurement, delivery and handover.
  • Manage refurbishment, development and capital expenditure projects across the property portfolio.
  • Maintain a practical, hands-on approach to project execution, ensuring quality, efficiency and adherence to programme.

Design and Construction Coordination

  • Work closely with architects, consultants, contractors and project teams to translate project concepts into deliverable outcomes.
  • Contribute to design development and construction planning, drawing on architectural and construction knowledge where appropriate.
  • Review drawings, specifications and technical proposals to ensure they align with project objectives and standards.

Contractor and Consultant Management

  • Assist with the appointment and coordination of consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers.
  • Support tender processes, review proposals and contribute to contract negotiations where required.
  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality.

Site Oversight

  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections, particularly at the Wiltshire estate and other portfolio properties.
  • Identify potential issues early and work with project teams to implement practical solutions that maintain programme and quality standards.

Budget and Programme Management

  • Track and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring financial discipline and value for money.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to senior stakeholders within the family office.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with the wider property team and other internal stakeholders to ensure projects align with the broader objectives of the portfolio.
  • Maintain effective relationships with external consultants, contractors and advisors.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in property development, project management, architecture, construction or a related discipline, ideally some exposure to super prime properties.
  • Experience working across multiple stages of the development and construction process.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering refurbishment or development projects from inception through to completion.

Background

  • A varied and practical background spanning areas such as architecture, construction, development management or building consultancy would be advantageous.
