About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Property Surveyor to take ownership of complex building diagnostics, damp & mould cases, disrepair, and a wide range of repair and replacement works from first inspection through to completion. This is a varied, autonomous role covering a regional patch, where you'll provide expert technical guidance, building pathology insight, and end‑to‑end case management. You'll work closely with customers, contractors, legal partners and internal teams to ensure every case is handled professionally, accurately and in line with regulatory, technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Diagnose and manage property defects, disrepair, damp & mould cases and larger or complex works.
Lead on building pathology assessments and produce high‑quality technical reports, including Scott Schedules where needed.
Manage pre, post and in‑progress inspections ensuring works are completed to agreed standards, policies and legal obligations.
Liaise with customers, delivery partners, colleagues, and, on occasion, legal professionals to resolve issues and progress cases.
Review home improvement requests, party wall matters, adaptation requests, and ensure asset protection.
Support technical decision-making around planned works, replacements and component improvements.
Work with voids colleagues to scope and agree work specifications aligned with letting standards.
Ensure all work complies with H&S legislation, internal policies, building regulations and best practice.
What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

Strong experience diagnosing building defects, damp & mould, and property disrepair.
Knowledge of housing‑related regulation and legal frameworks, including Disrepair Protocol.
Experience producing detailed inspection and technical reports.
Surveying qualification or clear progression toward professional competency.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and customer‑facing skills.
Ability to manage a busy, varied caseload across a regional patch.
Confident with ICT systems and digital tools used in property and case management.You'll also bring:
