• Component Maintenance, inspects, surveys, evaluates, installs repairs, maintain, troubleshoots, services, overhauls, modifies and tests off aircraft systems components whilst undergoing OJT to gain levels of certification of own work.

• On-aircraft, installs, repairs, services, modifies and tests aircraft systems.

• Ensures work is carried out in accordance with the standards and procedures detailed within the MOE.

• Ensures strict tool control is carried out in accordance with tool control procedures.

• Managing spare part requirements using the Gold ESP logistics system.

• Carry out TCTO's and Special inspections when directed.

• Development of assigned SNTTP trainees.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • National civilian / military equivalent and successful completion of a recognised aircraft maintenance apprenticeship OR ONC qualified with military add on training applicable to trade.

• Have at least 5 years within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training OR 3 years on same aircraft type OR successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP) • Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.

• Must have a sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to his work area.

• Demonstrate the ability to verbally communicate to a high standard on matters of a technical nature.

• Setting high standards for good housekeeping practices in the work area and ensuring the FOD prevention program is maintained to the highest standard.

• Must have and be able to demonstrate sound oral and written two-way communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels.

• Be able to work in close harmony in a mixed EE/SN workforce.

• An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
