Job Title: PSV Technician
Location: Reading
Salary: Up to £29 per hour
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Late Shift) – 15:00 – 02:00hrs

We’re currently recruiting experienced PSV / HGV Technicians on behalf of a leading and award-winning operator in the Reading area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional engineering team that’s part of the DVSA’s Earned Recognition Scheme, working in a modern, well-equipped workshop with a strong focus on quality, safety and teamwork.

Role Responsibilities of the PSV Technician

Inspect, maintain, and repair a mixed fleet of public service vehicles.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
Accurately record maintenance work using digital systems.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to compliance standards.
Requirements of the PSV Technician

NVQ Level 2 or higher in PSV / HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent international qualification).
OR 5+ years’ experience working on heavy vehicles (evidence required).
Must be able to pass IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician exam (if not qualified).
PCV licence desirable (training available).
