The Account Manager will manage a portfolio of clients' PR accounts, providing strategic counsel with minimal oversight. This role involves creating engaging content, developing strategic plans, and building relationships with clients and key media contacts.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Manage a portfolio of clients' PR accounts with minimal oversight.
- Assist junior team members with managing client accounts as needed.
- Create engaging content, including copywriting and social media posts.
- Develop and deliver strategic counsel to clients.
- Provide media with commentators and information about products or companies.
- Build relationships with existing and new clients.
- Develop relationships with key media contacts.
- Generate and lead press campaigns, creative projects, and PR solutions.
- Engage with the media, including speaking to journalists.
- Analyze PR coverage and prepare written reports.
- Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Check the work of junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
Minimum requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in PR, with a solid understanding of PR principles and practices.
- Passion for the B2B sector and enthusiasm for the industries represented.
- Commercial insight into clients' business activities, key issues, and competitive advantages.
- Strategic thinking to identify additional opportunities for client messaging.
- Creative thinking for brainstorming and exploring new avenues.
- Effective time management skills to handle workload and deadlines.
- Strong copywriting skills to communicate key messages concisely.
- Good presentation skills to articulate ideas and proposals.
- Leadership and initiative in resolving client issues.
This position is based in central London, near London Bridge, in a well-established agency specializing in B2B, logistics, transport, tech, and fintech sectors. The agency offers a collaborative workspace, is a Living Wage employer, and a Climate Positive Workforce.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 DOE
