As Purchase Ledger Assistant, you will ensure that supplier invoices are processed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with both internal departments and external suppliers, the Purchase Ledger Assistant will act as a key point of contact for invoice queries and discrepancies, helping to resolve issues promptly and professionally. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands on experience in a busy office environment and build a strong foundation in accounts payable practice. Your main responsibilities will include: Preparing and processing payment runs. Matching, batching and coding invoices. Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, acting as the first point of contact for queries. Supporting supplier statement reconciliations. Maintaining up to date and accurate financial records. Supporting cost control and waste reduction efforts. Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting. Supporting the wider finance team as required. Essential Qualifications & Experience Previous office administration experience is desirable but not essential. Basis understanding of finance or accounts payable. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and suggest improvements.
