Purchasing & Logistics Manager
Salary:
£55,000 – £60,000 + Profit Share Bonus

Manchester
Hybrid working available (2–3 days on-site per week)

What you’ll be doing
* Manage the end-to-end procurement of raw materials and inbound logistics
* Lead and develop a small team (Senior Buyer & Inbound Logistics Coordinator)
* Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
* Lead supplier negotiations and drive cost savings
* Oversee MRP planning and stock control
* Ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations
* Collaborate closely with internal teams—Production, Quality, Finance, Commercial
* Develop reporting and KPIs to track and improve performance
* Work closely with international partners (e.g. CS India) to ensure timely and accurate delivery
* Support contingency planning and supply risk management
What you’ll need
* Proven background in procurement and inbound logistics in a manufacturing environment
* Strong supplier management and negotiation experience
* Knowledge of MRP systems and stock control
* Understanding of international freight and trade compliance
* Confident communicator across internal and external stakeholders
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
* Leadership experience and a hands-on approach to team development
* Experience in chemical or process industries is a bonus
* Familiarity with COMAH, sustainability in supply chains, or supplier audits is desirable
