Job Description An established manufacturing organisation is seeking a full-time, on-site QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) Manager based in Gloucester . This role is responsible for leading and maintaining high standards across quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance while supporting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
The Role The QHSE Manager will oversee all health, safety, quality, and environmental practices across the site. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining EHS programmes, managing occupational health, conducting investigations, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards. The role requires a proactive approach to risk management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Maintain and manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with required standards

Take ownership of external compliance audits and regulatory inspections

Coordinate task- and area-specific risk assessments with supervisors and operators

Define, implement, and monitor corrective actions to eliminate or reduce risk

Conduct regular internal audits to identify best practices, non-conformances, and improvement opportunities

Produce clear audit reports and agree action plans with process owners

Lead investigations into hazards, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and preventative measures

Provide clear and engaging QHSE communications to strengthen site culture

Offer expert advice and guidance on health & safety, quality, and environmental matters

Key Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)

Experience managing occupational health programmes

Proven experience in accident and incident investigation

Ability to deliver effective QHSE training

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Relevant QHSE certifications and qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferr
