The QOF and data quality administration lead will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.Duties can include, but are not limited to, supporting the administration and receptionist teams with patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner and in accordance with current policies.The post-holder will support staff with the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.The post-holder will be an integral part of the general practice team.Main duties of the jobOversee the administrative elements of QOF, liaising with GPs, nursing staff and administratorGuide the team to reach QOF targetsBrief clinicians on performance levels, advising actions to ensure high achievement across all QOF areasSupport the overall practice clinical governance framework, submitting reports for QOF and other reporting requirementsOversee the delivery of enhanced services and other service requirementsInput data into the patientor their health care records as necessary through summarising/codingContribute to and embrace the spectrum of clinical governanceBe responsible for organizing PPG meetingsLead the management of the clinical system, ensuring IT security and IG compliance at all times. Respond to and resolve all IT issuesReview and update clinical templates, ensuring they relate to current practiceAnswer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's requests appropriatelyWelcome patients and visitors to the organisation, directing requests appropriatelyBe aware of duties and responsibilities regarding current legislation and adhere to practice policies and procedures on safeguarding adults and safeguarding childrenUndertake all mandatory training and induction programmesMaintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all timesAbout usBankhouse Surgery is located in the One Life Hartlepool. The practice offers services to 10,500 patients and has an excellent team of GPs, nurses, pharmacist and an admin/reception team. The practice is a training practice.Job responsibilitiesIn addition to the primary responsibilities, the Administration Assistant has the following wider responsibilities:Participate in any audits as directedParticipate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient careSupport and participate in shared learningComplete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rotaPerson SpecificationExperienceExperience of working in a healthcare settingExperience of working with the general publicExperience of working in a GP practiceExperience of administrative dutiesQualificationsA good standard of education with an expectation of having both GCSE Maths and English at grades A - C or equivalent. Alternatively functional skills level 2 in Maths and English
