Qualified Social Worker, Emergency Duty Team, Wakefield Council, Part time Pay rate £35 per hour Contract role Emergency Duty Team (Part-Time - 18.5hrs)Location: Wakefield District Headquarters, Havertop Lane, Normanton, WF6 1FDContract Length: Minimum 3 months (office-based)We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Enhanced Senior Social Worker to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident practitioner who thrives in fast-paced, responsive environments and is committed to safeguarding children, adults, and families outside normal working hours.About the RoleWorking as part of a rota, you will provide essential out-of-hours social care support across the Wakefield District. You will be responsible for assessing urgent situations, ensuring immediate safety planning, and delivering timely and effective interventions until daytime services resume.Please get in touch for more information.
