We are looking to recruit a 30-hour Qualified Pharmacy Assistant or a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 496-branch located at 21 Avenue Road, Seaton, Delaval, Whitley Bay, NE25 0DS. The proposed shift pattern is as follows: Tuesday 09:30-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Wednesday 09:30-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Thursday 09:30-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Friday 09:30-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) As a Qualified Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the business in providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for providing support with the dispensing and labelling of prescription items. Additional responsibilities will include receiving prescriptions and handing out prescription items and assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services is essential; skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all required. As a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing.
