Quality and Compliance Manager A leading organisation based in Newtownabbey, are currently seeking a Quality and Compliance Manager to join their team. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position (with Hybrid Working - 2 days per week on site). Working hours: 37.5 standard hours - including breaks (flexibility required to undertake additional hours in order to ensure the effective execution of duties). With a salary of £38,878 - £45,704 per annum (dependent on experience). Successful candidate will be subject to a Basic Access NI check. Closing date Monday 26th January. Job Role: You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of quality assurance, compliance, and risk management strategies to ensure robust governance, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement across the organisation. Essential Criteria: 5 years' experience working at a management level in leading quality improvement and compliance within a social care environment. This must include 2 years' experience managing resources, finances, staff, etc. Minimum of a Degree Level Qualification (as set out in the RQF Framework) in a relevant field/subject. Strong knowledge of governance, audit and risk management frameworks. Knowledge and experience of monitoring and analysing complaints processes. IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office 365 applications. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal - with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent analytical and leadership skills. Full driving licence valid for use in UK and Ireland and access to use of a car, with appropriate business insurance (please note relevant business insurance will be required on commencement of employment). Desirable Criteria: Be registered or willing to register with NISCC before commencement of employment (you will be required to provide evidence of NISCC registration). Hold ISO9001 internal auditor qualification. ISO31000 Risk Management trained. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements. Embed audit and risk management practices within organisational culture. Report regularly to the Audit & Risk Committee on compliance, governance, and risk exposure. Ensure alignment with quality standards (e.g. ISO) and best practice. Design, implement and maintain a quality management framework for the organisation. Design and implement an audit cycle, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up. Conduct internal audits and support services in preparing for external inspections. Facilitate continuous improvement through assessment and service reviews. Monitor corrective actions and share learning across the organisation. Develop and oversee the organisation's risk management framework. Identify, assess, and report on key risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies. Support business continuity planning and compliance audits. Provide risk analysis and tailored reports for senior leadership and committees. Drive organisational change initiatives related to governance and compliance. Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and innovation related to governance and compliance. Collaborate with teams to implement compliance improvements and monitor outcomes. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. Represent the organisation at relevant forums and networks. Communicate policies, procedures, and audit outcomes effectively across all levels. Work with the Practice Development Unit to deliver risk and compliance training. Support managers in promoting awareness of quality and risk management. Encourage team development and shared decision-making. Oversee the complaints management system and ensure timely resolution. Analyse feedback to identify trends and inform service improvements. Prepare accurate, timely reports on audit, risk, and compliance for senior stakeholders. Ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information. Manage budget for quality and compliance functions. Engage fully in the supervision process for professional development and support. In conjunction with senior staff, assist in the supervision, management and training of new staff. Responsible for keeping updated on the company policies and procedures. Act as a key holder for any buildings and secure the buildings as appropriate. Complete training and adhere to all fire safety regulations.
