Quality / QMS Engineer Location: Bredbury, Stockport (SK6) Salary: £42,000–£45,000 (DOE) Hours: 39 hrs/week (Mon–Thu 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–15:30) Contract: Permanent About The Company Our client is a global supplier of high-performance alloy and stainless-steel materials serving critical industries including oil & gas, petrochemical, power and aerospace. Their UK manufacturing sites deliver precision-machined components and value-added services with a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement. The Role Our client are seeking an experienced Quality / QMS Engineer to implement, maintain and improve their ISO 9001 Quality Management System across their UK manufacturing sites. You will ensure compliance, standardisation and effective quality reporting while supporting audits, supplier quality and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and improve ISO 9001 QMS processes and controlled documentation across UK sites * Plan and conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits * Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports * Manage corrective actions, non-conformances and continuous improvement activities * Support supplier approval, audits and performance monitoring * Maintain training matrices, competency records and quality systems data (e.g. Q-Pulse, EFACS) * Promote a strong quality culture and cross-site collaboration About You * Experience working within an ISO 9001 QMS in manufacturing * Internal audit experience (supplier audits advantageous) * Strong quality reporting and KPI analysis skills * Knowledge of document control and change management * Analytical, organised and detail-focused with strong communication skills * Proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement Why Join Us * Established global engineering/manufacturing business * Multi-site, high-impact quality role * Competitive salary and stable permanent position * Early Friday finish
