Job Description

Quality Engineer - Automotive Assembly - to £50k\n\nWe are recruiting a Quality Engineer - Automotive Assembly to support the launch of a new automotive assembly operation. This role offers a unique opportunity to embed quality into processes from day one, working in a fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEstablish and maintain quality control processes in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001\n\nConduct audits and inspections of assembly operations\n\nMonitor quality KPIs including scrap, defects, and customer complaints\n\nLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)\n\nSupport new product launches and engineering changes (APQP)\n\nMaintain quality documentation (Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP)\n\nCollaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams on quality issues\n\nTrain production staff on quality standards and best practices\n\nRequirements\n\nDegree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar\n\nMinimum 3 years' experience in automotive quality engineering\n\nStrong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)\n\nKnowledge of VDA 6.3 / VDA 6.5 auditing standards\n\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills\n\nDesirable\n\nASQ CQE and/or Six Sigma Green Belt\n\nSupplier quality or automotive assembly experience\n\nWR Engineering are the #1 recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing & technical sales jobs.
