Role Overview – Quality Engineer
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury, on a permanent basis.
Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of complex mechanical products supplying the global aerospace and defence sectors.
This position has a strong focus on APQP and PPAP, therefore proven experience within these areas is essential.
Key Responsibilities – Quality Engineer
Support the integration and implementation of APQP within the NPI process
Support advanced quality planning activities
Ensure customer quality requirements are incorporated into NPI processes
Capture and integrate lessons learned into APQP activities
Coordinate, manage and monitor PPAP activities
Identify and implement improvements within manufacturing processes
Support cross-functional teams with non-conformances and corrective actions
Support external compliance and customer audits
Close out corrective actions raised during audit activities
Skills & Experience – Quality Engineer
Proven experience in APQP and PPAP application
Experience working within an AS9100 certified environment
Knowledge and practical application of PFMEA
Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
Strong communication skills, both internal and external
