Quality Engineer – Quality - QA/QC – BESS – Kent, England – Contract

A renewable energy contractor is looking to engage a Quality Engineer to support the delivery of a large scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in the South East. The role will play a critical part in ensuring quality assurance, structured documentation and compliance throughout the construction and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee QA/QC processes across the BESS installation.

* Conduct inspections, audits and verification of works.

* Manage ITPs, test records, NCRs and quality documentation.

* Support the project team with structured quality control and handover deliverables.

* Ensure compliance with project standards and assist with final documentation packages.

* Work closely with engineering, construction and commissioning teams to maintain quality discipline.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Experience in QA/QC roles on BESS, HV/LV, Solar PV or other energy infrastructure projects.

* Strong understanding of installation quality requirements and structured documentation.

* Ability to manage ITPs, audit processes and quality reporting.

* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

* Confident working in a dynamic, fast-moving project environment.

* Start Date: January 2026

* End Date: October 2026

* Location: Kent, England (on-site)
