The Company
A well-established aerospace precision engineering company based in Bridgwater is looking to strengthen its quality team with the addition of an experienced Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly reputable business supplying complex, high-spec components into the aerospace sector.

The Role
As a Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer, you will play a key role in ensuring all manufactured components meet strict aerospace quality standards. You will be responsible for both hands-on inspection and CMM programming using Aberlink software.

Key Responsibilities

* Programming and operating CMM machines (Aberlink experience essential)

* Conducting detailed inspection of precision machined components

* Using a range of inspection tools including micrometers, verniers, and bore gauges

* Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T

* Supporting first-off, in-process, and final inspection activities

* Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards

* Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in line with aerospace requirements

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within precision engineering or aerospace

* Strong CMM programming experience (Aberlink essential)

* Experience with Hexagon systems is highly desirable

* Confident using manual inspection equipment (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges)

* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

* High attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality
