Shift: Monday – Thursday, 17:00 – 03:15 Mazco Recruitment are working with a high-precision manufacturing business seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join their team on a permanent late shift. This role plays a key part in ensuring all products meet strict quality standards, customer requirements, and engineering specifications within a controlled manufacturing environment. The Role As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for verifying product conformity across components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. You will ensure all inspection activities align with the company’s Quality Management System, engineering drawings, and customer-specific requirements. You will also support production by ensuring timely inspection processes and maintaining full traceability of quality records. Key Responsibilities * Inspect components and assemblies against engineering drawings and specifications * Ensure full compliance with the Quality Management System and customer requirements * Maintain accurate and auditable inspection documentation * Carry out first-off inspections to support production processes * Produce and compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) * Perform inspection activities across manufacturing and supply chain operations * Identify, document, and report non-conformances in line with company procedures * Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and HSE standards * Escalate quality issues to relevant teams and support corrective actions * Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements * Experience using inspection equipment including gauges, measuring tools, and CMM * Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications * Experience with precision component inspection and tight tolerances * Knowledge of both imperial and metric measurement systems * Experience in goods-in inspection of finished components/products * Understanding of quality standards and inspection processes * Aerospace experience desirable but not essential * Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Javelin ) advantageous * Awareness of MSA, SPC, NDT, ISO or ASME standards beneficial Salary & Benefits * Competitive salary plus late shift premium * 23 days holiday bank holidays (rising to 26 days with service) * Pension scheme (3% employer contribution) * Life assurance (4x salary) * Healthcare scheme (Benenden – employee contribution) * Employee Assistance Programme * Retail discount scheme * On-site parking
