Quality Inspector - CNC Machined Components

Location: Loughborough
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent (12 weeks)
Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00
Friday: 07:00 - 13:00

Major Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in Loughborough.
\n
This is a hands-on, visual inspection role, ideal for someone with excellent attention to detail who takes pride in maintaining high quality standards. You will be part of a friendly, fast-paced Quality & Inspection team, responsible for ensuring all components meet customer and industry specifications before dispatch.
\nKey Responsibilities\n

\n
Carry out detailed visual inspection of CNC machined components and tooling (approximately 80-90% visual)
\n
\n
\n
Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications
\n
\n
\n
Ensure inspections and documentation comply with AS9100 standards
\n
\n
\n
Complete inspection records, reports, and basic non-conformance documentation
\n
\n
\n
Identify, investigate, and process non-conforming or rejected parts
\n
\n
\n
Liaise with production, quality, and other departments to resolve quality issues
\n
\n
\n
Support inspection reporting and quality documentation
\n
\n
\n
Occasionally assist the stores department with packing and preparing goods for dispatch
\n
\n
\nWhat We're Looking For\n

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
\n
\n
\n
Ability to work methodically and stay focused during repetitive inspection tasks
\n
\n
\n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
\n
\n
\n
Good organisational skills and a proactive approach
\n
\n
\n
Ability to work independently and unsupervised while maintaining quality standards

\n
\n
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

\nEssential Experience\n
\n
\n
Previous experience in a similar quality or inspection role
\n
\n
\n
Understanding of quality standards, ideally AS9100
\n
\n
\n
Experience inspecting CNC machined components
\n
\n
\n
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
\n
\n
\nDesirable (Not Essential)\n
\n
\n
Aerospace inspection experience
\n
\n
\n
Knowledge of non-conformance processes
\n
\n
\n
Background in manufacturing, engineering, or tooling environments
\n
\n
