Job Description
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Stevenage, UK
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Sector: Aerospace Manufacturing
Security Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain BPSS clearance
Our client, a leading manufacturing business in the aerospace sector, is seeking a Quality Inspector to work alongside a retiring subject matter expert. This role is ideal for someone with relevant experience who is also looking for career progression. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to expand their quality knowledge, gain hands-on experience with complex inspection processes, and develop toward roles such as Inspection Manager.
Key Responsibilities for the Quality Inspector:

Monitor, test, and inspect products to ensure they meet specified standards, are free of flaws, and function as designed.
\n
Work with laboratory and real-world testing conditions using tools such as micrometers, callipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and electronic inspection equipment.
\n
Program and run Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and Laser Trackers.
\n
Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities such as A3 and 8D’s.
\n
Create and complete documentation including Process Maps, PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEAs.
\n
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities required for the appointed Quality Inspector :
\n
3 years’ experience in Quality Inspection (engineering background advantageous).
\n
Knowledge of quality engineering processes and regulatory requirements.
\n
Analytical, systematic problem-solving approach.
\n
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
\n
Ability to interpret complex technical information and make improvement recommendations.
\n
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and database management tools.
\n
