Position: Quality InspectorType of role: permanentLocation: Stonehouse working hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30 am to16.30 and 07.30 am to 12.30 on Fridays Salary: £30000 – £37000 DOE Contract: Permanent We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to work for manufacturing company based in Stonehouse. The appropriate Quality Inspector will ensure that all manufactured components meet company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role involves performing first-off inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections using a variety of precision measuring equipment including CMM, profile measurement, Keyence, and shadow graph machines, as well has hand-held measurement equipment.Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector Perform first-off inspections and complete first article reports in accordance with customer and internal requirementsConduct in-process and final inspections of components to engineering drawings and specificationsIncoming goods inspection Measure components using: CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Contracer (surface roughness/profile measurement), Keyence measurement systems, Shadow graph (profile projector), Standard hand-held gauges (micrometres, verniers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)Interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and customer specificationsRecord and maintain accurate inspection data and quality documentationIdentify and report non-conforming products in line with company proceduresSupport root cause analysis and corrective action activities when requiredEnsure calibration status of equipment before use Key Skills of a Quality Inspector Proven experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environmentStrong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&TExperience operating CMM, Contracer, Keyence, and shadow graph equipmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood written and verbal communication skillsIT literate and comfortable completing electronic inspection reports If you think this role might be of an interest, please contact Marta Kosno 01453 852 542 and forward your CV to Omega is an employment agency specialising in opportunities at all levels within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors.
