Major Recruitment are looking to hire a Quality Inspector for a well-established, AS9100-accredited precision engineering company in Derbyshire who make high-quality CNC machined components

Monday to Thursday, 07:00 - 16:00 | Friday, 07:00 - 13:00 \n

£14.00 per hour \n

After 12 weeks upon successful permanent offer \n

This is a hands on varied role ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to high standards. As the final person to inspect components before dispatch, you will play a vital role in maintaining quality and ensuring products meet both customer and industry standards. The role also includes occasional support for the stores department, particularly around packing and preparation for shipment

\nKey Responsibilities\n

\n \n Perform visual inspection (approx. 80-90%) of tooling and components to ensure quality compliance

\n

\n

\n Support the completion of inspection and non-conformance reports

\n

\n

\n Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications

\n

\n

\n Liaise with production and quality teams to resolve quality issues

\n

\n

\n Assist in investigating and processing any non-conforming parts

\n

\n

\n Maintain clear records and documentation in line with AS9100 standards

\n

\n

\n Occasionally assist in the stores area, including packing and preparing goods for dispatch

\n

\n

\nWhat We're Looking For\n

\n \n Strong attention to detail and a high level of care in your work

\n

\n

\n Previous experience in aerospace, precision engineering or manufacturing sectors (but not essential)

\n

\n

\n Ability to read and understand technical drawings

\n

\n

\n Excellent communication skills and confidence working in a small team

\n

\n

\n Organised, proactive and capable of working independently

\n

\n

\n Willingness to support other departments when required

\n

\n

\nDesirable\n

\n \n Familiarity with AS9100 standards

\n

\n

\n Prior experience in a quality inspection or tooling inspection role

\n

\n

\n Understanding of non-conformance procedures and inspection processes

\n

\n
