About the Role

An established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join its quality and management function. This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of quality processes across the organisation and maintaining high standards across all projects.

You will play a hands-on role in inspection activities, quality planning, compliance, auditing, and working with precision measurement equipment. If you are quality-focused, proactive, and confident with technical systems, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the principal programmer/operator of CNC CMM equipment using PC-DMIS software
• Produce accurate quality reports for production jobs
• Review and sign off quality plans and associated documentation
• Maintain, calibrate, and manage all quality-related equipment
• Govern and uphold company quality policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the standards room
• Support and implement safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements
• Communicate issues, improvements, and risks to the management team
• Assist other departments when required
• Conduct audits of processes and procedures
• Generate internal/external NCRs and contribute to 8D problem-solving

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a quality, inspection, or xbpsjku engineering role
• ONC/HNC in Production or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude
• Able to work independently and follow established procedures
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 (nuclear sector experience advantageous)
• Auditing qualification beneficial
• Strong knowledge of PC-DMIS software
