Quality Inspector
Daventry | £25,000 | Mon-Fri (8am-4pm)
We're recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well-established and growing engineering business. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in quality inspection who takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing:
- Inspecting materials, components, and finished products at various stages of production
- Using measurement equipment such as callipers, micrometres, plug gauges, and FARO Arm
- Conducting quality checks including crack testing and weld inspections
- Carrying out weld section testing and analysing results
- Managing inspection of incoming and outgoing goods, including stock sorting
- Supporting sample approvals (first-off, mid-off, last-off as required)
- Recording inspection data using systems such as Safety Culture
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards including ISO9001, IATF16949, and ISO14001
- Supporting the investigation and resolution of quality issues
- Liaising with internal teams to maintain production and quality standards
- Using Factory Master to release or reject parts
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience in a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance role
- Experience using precision measurement equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and problem-solving mindset
