Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Location: Poole

Hours: Full-time, 39 hours Monday to Thursday 7:30 till 4:30 and Fridays 7:30 to 12:00

Pay: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum

About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering environment, working on high-specification components across various industries. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, takes pride in their inspection skills.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our inspection department, using both manual measuring tools and advanced CMM equipment.

Key Responsibilities
⦁ Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components.
⦁ Use manual measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and bore gauges.
⦁ Operate Aberlink CMM machines for dimensional inspection and reporting.
⦁ Accurately interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
⦁ Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records.
⦁ Identify and report non-conformances, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
⦁ Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements
⦁ Proven experience in a similar quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
⦁ Proficient in the use of manual inspection tools.
⦁ Hands-on experience with Aberlink CMMs (programming experience desirable).
⦁ Strong understanding of geometric tolerancing and engineering drawings.
⦁ Good communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
⦁ High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward quality standards.
