Quality Inspector Job Description
Maintain adherence to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality regulations, keeping the work area safe, clean, and in line with 5S principles. Liaise between quality, engineering, and production to resolve issues and maintain quality output. Conduct First-Off, In-Process, Sub-Contract and Final Inspections using CMM, visual, manual, and other measurement techniques. Interpret CMM results, perform manual inspections (micrometres, calipers, etc.), and advise on any issues found. Verify drawings, specifications, and inspection program versions match the batch card. Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and used per SOPs. Confirm batch cards are completed correctly; raise concessions, deviation permits, or NCRs as needed.
