Quality Lineside Engineer

What you'll be doing

As a Quality Lineside Engineer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product and process quality on the shop floor. Your responsibilities will include:

Quality Inspection & Compliance Carry out product inspections in line with defined standards and delegation rules. Complete pre-delivery, clearance and duplicate checks (including Customer Protection Board and Key Risk items). Ensure inspection and control requirements are effectively communicated across the shop floor. Quality Issue Management Investigate reported quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive containment, corrective and preventive actions. Raise and manage non-conformities, support rework checks, and lead closure of NCs. Provide feedback to Inspection Standard Operations Instruction Owners to enable continuous improvement. Surveillance & Process Assurance Perform operator and process surveillance in accordance with Quality standards and surveillance plans. Support risk analysis activities such as FMEA. Work closely with the Quality Conformance Manager on capability calculations and control chart setup. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Lead multifunctional teams to secure rapid issue resolution. Contribute to daily lean activities (including SQCDP and PPS). Ensure documentation is completed and archived following Quality rules. What we're looking for

Essential experience A strong background in engineering, manufacturing, inspection or quality, with at least

three years' experience in lineside or quality inspection roles . Hands-on shop floor experience, ideally within aerospace or transport industries. Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and share clear feedback. Proven root-cause analysis and problem-solving capability (PPS experience essential). Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving operational environment and react quickly to customer feedback. Experience leading or supporting multifunctional teams. Nice to have Experience with Cost of Non-Quality processes. Knowledge of surveillance methodologies and process confirmation.
